1971 International Harvester Scout 800B 304ci V8
Description
The 304ci V8 have been rebuilt and features red-painted International-branded valve covers, an aluminum radiator, and an Edelbrock air cleaner.
Power is routed through a three-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case.
The frame was media blasted and powder-coated in black, while the underbody was sprayed with black Raptor liner.
An X-pipe exhaust system is installed.
The body was removed from the frame prior to being media blasted and repainted in Summit White.
Additional work consisted of powder-coating the bumpers and trim as well as installing LED headlamps.
The half-cab was refinished in metallic silver, and the full travel top was also refinished.
Black 15″ Mickey Thompson Classic III wheels are mounted with 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires all around.
The ride-height is raised approximately 2.5″ using Rancho shocks, and additional work included rebuilding the steering box and installing power-assisted steering and front disc brakes.
The interior woodwork was reportedly carried out by Heritage Woodworks, and included installing Kentucky Oak wooden planks separated by black steel runners on the cargo floor.
The front low-back bucket seats were reupholstered in black and brown leather with diamond-stitched inlays, and the floor was coated with a body-color Raptor liner underneath replacement black carpeting.
Amenities include a Retrosound digital stereo, a replacement heater, and electric windshield wipers.
Uninstalled rear bench seat cushions will accompany the sale.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a suite of aftermarket gauges including a 160-mph speedometer with an inset six-digit odometer showing 200 miles.
