This ERA 427 is a Shelby Cobra replica that was produced by ERA Replica Automobiles of New Britain, Connecticut, and was purchased new in 1995.

The car is finished in British Racing Green with Wimbledon White stripes over tan leather and is powered by a 454ci stroker V8 paired with a Doug Nash Richmond five-speed manual transmission.

The 454ci stroker side-oiler V8 engine has reportedly been modified with a Super Cobra Jet crankshaft, Comp Cams solid roller camshaft and valvetrain, Arais racing pistons, shot-peened rods, screw-in brass freeze plugs, Jim Dove aluminum medium-riser heads, an Edelbrock water pump, a Canton road race oil pan, and aluminum timing cover.

Features include a Barry Grant carburetor, an MSD HEI ignition, coated headers and baffled stainless steel exhaust, an ERA radiator with electric fans, an oil cooler, a “Cobra” script air cleaner cover, and chrome valve covers.

The rear main seal and head gaskets have been replaced and the oil pan refinished in 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Doug Nash-built Richmond five-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch and a scatter shield.

The shifter was replaced with a Long Manufacturing unit in June 2021.

The car is finished in green with white stripes.

Features include a hood scoop, halogen headlamps, a Le Mans-style fuel door, chrome front and rear bumpers, side-exit exhaust pipes, a chrome driver side roll bar, and a driver-side mirror.

Trigo 15” wheels are secured by safety-wired knock-offs and wear Streetsteel Milestar tires.

Four-wheel disc brakes include inboard-mounted rears, while the fully-independent suspension features two coilovers up front in addition to four at the rear.

The front brakes and calipers have been replaced in 2022.

The cockpit features tan leather-upholstered bucket seats with a matching wool carpet kit.

Additional equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, flip-down sun visors, and latch-and-link four-point harnesses for both occupants.

The three-spoke steering wheel with an AC center cap sits ahead of Stewart Warner instrumentation including a tachometer as well as gauges for coolant and oil temperature, amperage, fuel level, and fuel pressure.

The 160-mph speedometer contains a five-digit odometer showing 1,200 miles.
