1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window V8 Coupe

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is finished in Ermine white over red vinyl and is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and Positraction rear differential.

The 327ci V8 features a polished air cleaner, “Corvette” script finned valve covers, and was factory rated at 340 horsepower.

The hoses have been replaced, the windshield wiper motor, washer pump, and carburetor have been refurbished since 2015.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and Positraction rear differential.

The fiberglass bodywork is finished in Ermine White (936A) and features a split rear window along with a driver-side mirror, concealed headlights, vents on the rear pillars, cast rocker accents, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhausts that exit through the rear valance.

The car was refurbished in 1995.

The 15″ turbine wheels are fitted with three-ear knock-off hubs and are mounted with 215/75 Firestone FR440 radial tires.

The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear.

Braking is handled by drums at all four corners.

The leaf spring bushings, strut bars, and trailing arm bushings were replaced in 2021.

The teak wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges.
