1965 Factory Five Racing Cobra MK3 Shelby Cobra Roadster

This Factory Five Mk3 is a Shelby Cobra replica that was built in 2003.

Finished in gray with black stripes over a black interior, the car is powered by a 460ci V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission.

The Ford 460ci V8 is equipped with the following components: Holley Speed Demon carburetor, Edelbrock camshaft and Torker intake manifold, Ford Super Cobra Jet-spec cylinder heads, Comp Cams roller rockers, Ford Racing-script valve covers, MSD distributor and Digital 6AL ignition control box, Griffin radiator and Moroso overflow tank, Stainless steel fuel lines, Custom-fabricated oil pan, Coated headers.

The Tremec TKO 2550 five-speed manual transmission features a transmission housing shield, an aluminum flywheel, and a McLeod Racing twin-disc clutch.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a custom-fabricated driveshaft and a Strange Engineering Ford-style 9″ rear end with 3.50:1 gearing and 35-spline axles.

The fiberglass body is finished in metallic gray and features black stripes along with a roll hoop, a chrome fuel cap, a side mirror for the driver, LED fog lights, front and rear bumperettes, and stainless steel side exhaust pipes.

Five-spoke 15″ Torq Thrust-style wheels feature gray centers, polished lips, and Cobra-branded center caps and are mounted with 275/50 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S rubber up front and 26×8″ Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires out back.

Braking is handled by discs at all four corners, and additional equipment includes a Flaming River steering rack, tubular control arms, coilovers, and stainless steel brake lines.

Low-back bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl and are equipped with latch-and-link lap belts as well as a Simpson harness for the driver.

A fire extinguisher is secured beside the passenger’s seat, and additional equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, Roush aluminum pedals, and Cobra-branded floor mats.

AutoMeter instrumentation includes a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a five-digit odometer that shows just over 2k miles.
