1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L46 V8
Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in red over black vinyl and is powered by a 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission.
The 350ci L46 V8 came equipped with a single Rochester four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 350 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was refurbished by Merkel Racing Engines in 2004, and the carburetor was rebuilt around the same time.
The water pump, fuel pump, and alternator were replaced, and the fluids have been changed in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end.
The car was factory finished in Monza Red (974) and was repainted, exterior features include four-slot fender vents, a vacuum-operated windshield-wiper door, pop-up headlights, and a black soft top that was replaced in 1993.
Slotted 15″ Rally wheels are finished in silver and fitted with chrome trim rings, Chevrolet center caps, and Goodyear Eagle GTII tires.
Braking is provided by four-wheel discs, and power steering was added in 2004.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl (ZQ4) with a matching dash pad, door panels, and carpeting protected by “Stingray”-embroidered floor mats.
Features include head restraints and a push-button AM/FM radio.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer indicates 16k miles and have rolled over, and total mileage is unknown.
