1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible V8

This 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible is finished in red over a black interior and powered by a replacement 455ci V8 mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

The replacement 455ci V8 features FiTech electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock intake manifold, electronic ignition, a billet serpentine belt conversion kit, electric fuel pump, twin electric cooling fans, and a dual exhaust system.

The engine was overhauled in 2014, the fuel tank powder coated in 2013, and the fuel injection system was installed in 2011 by Kammer & Kammer Enterprises.

Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, which was sourced from TCI Automotive and installed in 2011.

The driveshaft was also overhauled at that time.

The car was finished from the factory in Target Red (R).

Features include a replacement black soft top, black beltline stripes, aftermarket headlights, and a chrome driver’s side mirror.

Chrome SSI-style 14″ wheels with body-colored centers wear BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires.

Braking is handled by four-wheel drum brakes with stainless steel front units.

The steering was refreshed with a quick-ratio steering box from AGR Performance as well as replacement steering arms in 2013.

The interior features black vinyl upholstered bucket seats (950) with color-matching door panels, carpeting, and trim.

Amenities include lap belts, a push-button AM radio, locking glove box, and Cutlass-branded rubber floor mats.

A Vintage Air under-dash A/C system was installed in 2013.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer while aftermarket gauges for oil pressure, engine temperature, and a voltmeter have been added to the right of the steering column.

A tachometer and clock reside in the center console.

The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
