This 1970 Chevrolet Nova two-door is powered by a 383ci stroker V8 equipped with FiTech electronic fuel injection, Brodix aluminum cylinder heads, MSD electronic ignition, a March serpentine system, a Cloyes double-roller timing chain, a Comp Cams camshaft, and an Eagle crankshaft.

The 383ci stroker V8 is a replacement engine and it is based on a 350ci GM small-block that was bored and honed and built with the following: Brodix IK 200 aluminum cylinder heads, Eagle Specialty Products cast-steel crankshaft, Eagle Specialty Products I-beam rods and ARP cap screws, King Racing bearings, Speed-Pro flat-top pistons and Hastings moly piston rings, Comp Cams 305 Magnum flat-tappet hydraulic camshaft and lifters, Liberty Performance pushrods, Scorpion Racing Products aluminum rocker arms, Cloyes Gear billet steel double-roller timing chain, March Performance Pulleys serpentine system, Melling M-55 oil pump.

A FiTech electronic fuel injection system and a powdercoated 20-gallon fuel tank with an internal pump and sending unit, as well as an MSD distributor with an adjustable rotor, were installed in January 2017.

The car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally equipped with a six-cylinder engine.

Gases exit by way of headers flowing into a 2.5″ dual exhaust system equipped with an H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Hurst-shifted Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission and a rebuilt 10-bolt Positraction rear end with a 3.42:1 final gear ratio.

The body was repainted in silver and features a black vinyl roof, outlined black center stripes, a cowl-induction hood, dual mirrors, chrome bumpers, black full-length body-side moldings, and “SS” and “383” badging.

American Racing 17″ Torq Thrust II wheels are polished and fitted with 245/45 Lemans Performance A/S tires.

A four-wheel Wilwood power disc brake conversion with drilled and slotted rotors was installed in 2015, and a Hydroboost assist system from Hydratech Braking Systems was added in January 2017.

Steering upgrades consist of a quick-ratio power-steering box and a Hotchkis steering kit with inner and outer tie rods, an idler arm, and a pitman arm.

A QA1 adjustable coilover conversion kit has been installed up front, Hotchkis lowering leaf springs with QA1 Stocker Star shocks are fitted at the rear, and SpeedTech sway bars were added at both ends.

The interior features Procar by Scat bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with a matching dash pad, door panels, and carpeting.

Amenities that have been added include a Vintage Air climate-control system, an alarm system, power locks, three-point seatbelts, a JVC CD receiver with Bluetooth connectivity, and a pair of 4″ Rockford Fosgate speakers in the dash.

Instrumentation consists of a 110-mph horizontal-sweep speedometer, a fuel gauge, an 8k-rpm AutoMeter tachometer clamped to the steering column, and a pair of auxiliary gauges mounted beneath the dash.

The five-digit odometer shows about 300 miles, true chassis mileage is unknown.
